Let’s Talk About Getting More Eyes on Your Work

Because no audience = no sales, no impact, and a whole lot of shouting into the void (and nobody likes that!).

So you’ve got your ideal client in mind. Check.
You’ve carved out your niche. Check
You’ve told Imposter Syndrome to sit down in the corner and be quiet. Check
And now? … Now you’re ready to be seen.

Except… who’s actually listening?

This is the part where so many amazing women quietly stall. You’ve got ideas. You’ve got offers (or you’re working on them). You’re posting here and there. But the truth is, if no one’s paying attention, it’s really hard to build momentum – let alone make consistent income.

The Problem: You’re doing all the things, but no one’s noticing.

And it’s not because your work isn’t good. It’s because you haven’t built an audience yet. You need an audience of engaged listeners. That means that they are genuinely interested in what you have to say. Now, it doesn’t matter if your audience is 50 or 500k, if they are not engaged, they will not buy.

The Fix? You grow it – deliberately.

Here’s how:

Lead Magnets Are Your New BFF

Offer something genuinely useful for free (a checklist, guide, mini ebook, template—you name it) in exchange for an email address. But make sure it actually solves one specific problem your ideal client is struggling with. When she sees your freebie and thinks, “WOW, I need this!,” that is when the magic starts. This is where the engagement starts – they see what you’re offering, and it grabs their interest. They exchange their email address for your free content.

Email vs Social

Instagram is cute, but your email list is gold. It’s where the deeper connection happens. You own it. Nurture it. Be a real person in it. More sales happen from your e-mail list than from your social media posts. This is primarily due to the ‘Know, like and trust’ factors. Your message is being delivered straight to them, without them getting side-tracked by scrolling onto the next post.

Substack Is a Dream for Connection

Following on from E-mails, Substack lets you show up in inboxes and build page that can be discovered. Plus, you can cross-publish your posts on socials to help people discover you. Double win. And an extra win – you can monetise your posts. Imagine being paid for posting what you were going to post anyway?!

Get in Front of Other People’s Audiences

This is the secret sauce. Be a guest on podcasts. Offer free value inside someone else’s Facebook group. Reach out to someone who’s audience would benefit from your solutions, and suggest a collaboration. Share your freebie as a thank-you at the end, it grows your list without being spammy. If you are struggling to find someone who will interview you, then turn the tables around and ask other people (who you think may have a solution for your audience) to be interviewed by you. Podcasts are easily accessible nowadays, and can be distributed to all your favourite social medias. And do NOT worry about mistakes, just prepare your questions, then let it flow. You will get better the more you interview others.

Be Consistent (but not boring)

Don’t show up once and vanish. But don’t post just to post, either. Create content that actually helps your ideal client. She’ll stick around—and tell her friends. Your Ideal Client will know if you’re just posting for the sake of it, and it will be a major turn-off. Avoid it at all costs.

To sum it up:

You can’t grow a business in a vacuum. You need and engaged audience who is excited to listen to you. So go out there and find your people, and then give them a reason to stick around. Show up with value, lead with service, and invite them into your world.

How are YOU growing your audience right now? Or what’s felt tricky about it?
