If you want more positivity in your life, you need to start by being positive. That might sound obvious, but here’s the thing – people are drawn to energy that feels good. You want to be the person others feel lighter around, not the one they quietly sidestep at the supermarket.
Start with your words. They hold more power than you realise. Instead of saying, “These things always happen to me,” try, “I’m so glad I can always find the solution to any problem that comes my way.” Feels different, doesn’t it? Instead of muttering, “Sorry I’m late,” say, “Thank you for waiting for me.” Small swaps, huge shifts.
Positivity is a choice, and in the beginning it can feel a little awkward, like trying on a new pair of shoes that aren’t quite broken in. Stick with it. A habit takes time to settle in, and this one is SO worth it.
Start telling yourself you’re lucky. Not just lucky to be alive, but lucky in ways that make life a bit magical. Lucky to win little things, to spot treasures in unexpected places, to bump into kind people and find great opportunities waiting for you. The more you affirm that, the more it starts to feel true, and the more it becomes true.
Positivity isn’t about ignoring problems. It’s about shifting the way you see them, so you open the door to better solutions and better days.
