Why you feel like a fraud, and how to move forward anyway.
So you’ve found your ideal client. You’ve defined your niche. You’re finally starting to feel like the business Queen that you are.
And then it hits. That quiet (but irritatingly persistent) voice that whispers:
“Who do you think you are?”
“People are going to find out you don’t know what you’re doing.”
“You’re not really qualified.”
”You don’t have 20 years experience behind you like everyone else!”
Yup. Welcome to the club. That, is Imposter Syndrome.

What is Imposter Syndrome?
It’s that feeling that you’re somehow faking your way through things—even when you’re not. You feel like you aren’t worthy of taking the position, or speaking with authority – but you ARE worthy! It shows up when you start something new, step into a bigger space, or put your work out into the world. You start to second-guess every idea, every decision, every post.
And here’s the kicker: it doesn’t only affect beginners. I still feel it at times! Some of the most brilliant, experienced women I know still get hit with it—every time they level up.
Why does it matter?
Because if you let it, Imposter Syndrome will keep you quiet. It’ll convince you to shrink. To delay launching. To edit that post to death. To never hit “publish.”
And that means the people who need your work will never find it.
So what do we do about it?
We fake it. Not the work or the product – you know your stuff. The confidence! Yeah, that part takes some ‘faking’ at first.
You show up anyway.
You post the thing.
You launch the product.
You talk to your ideal client like you are the expert, with confidence. Because guess what? You are. And every time you do, you build real confidence along the way.
You don’t wait until you feel ready. You just start. You act like the version of you who already believes it’s working. She’s in there. Let her take the lead for a bit.
Yes, you WILL make mistakes, but that’s life. But if you make the mistakes in the beginning, it means that you’re growing, getting better at things, and refining your confidence.
You are stronger than you think. You CAN do it … but only if you DO it.
To sum it up:
Imposter Syndrome is common, annoying, and (thankfully) beatable.
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to show up like you belong, because you DO.
Are you struggling with this right now? What have YOU done to overcome Imposter Syndrome? I would love to know – let’s encourage each other, and get over this and onto the good stuff.
